Noctis had no idea what was going on between Ash and Ignis. It was obvious the two of them weren't on good terms, they'd been that way for awhile but lately it seemed worse. A lot worse.

The contest had been a nice break from things and seemed to brighten the mood all around, giving everyone a chance to relax and just have fun. But, of course, they had to get back to doing their usual routines eventually and back to Olivine it had been. Noctis had stopped in at the restaurant he frequently worked at to set up a schedule since he was planning on staying around Olivine for some time and then had just settled in at home. It was nice to be able to relax and being back in Olivine meant he could see the Squad regularly!

Apparently, though, things weren't going to be as laid back as he hoped.

Glancing over at the door when he heard the knock, Noctis set his 'gear down and got to his feet, stretching briefly as he made his way over. He assumed it was Prompto or Ignis since Ash never knocked on the door so imagine his surprise when he tugs it open and sees the latter.

"Ash?" Noct leaned against the door, frowning slightly at the obvious upset on his friend's face. "Everything okay?"

Having sensed the group coming Carbuncle pushed his way between Noct's legs, twin tails flicking nervously as he let out a soft twill.
