With a soft 'Poof!' the ditto turned into an Eevee and happily returned the headbutt, twilling at Macavity as they bounced on their paws.

"Good! Potato is good! Eggs good too!" To emphasize the point the Eevee-Ditto hopped around the eggs and gently nuzzled each one, clearly a very proud surrogate parent. "Hatch soon! New parents need eggs now!"

"Shepard! We need Shepard!" Carbuncle cheered and darted to the edge of the loft, tails whipping about. "Shepard!!"

"A picnic sounds wonderful," Bean said fondly, her expression soft and loving. She felt much the same way Danny did; anything he did was perfect in her eyes and anything he gave her was perfect. She got to her feet after leaning in to bump her head to his gently, still carefully cradling her flowers. "I think we should be okay by the lighthouse. It should block the wind well enough!"

Macavity beamed at the eggs. He didn't feel that paternal drive, which was good. These were Bean and Danny's children, not his! Although he'd gladly help teach them if they had trouble learning to Bite or anything like that.

"Shepard! It's time for the egg surprise!" He called with Carbuncle, dancing around the eggs eagerly. He suddenyl remembered. "Oh! We gotta hurry! Danny made a picnic yesterday! I bet that's for Bean!"

Danny returned the nuzzle, taking her spare paw in his as they walked. "I might have already made a picnic basket at Ash's place. I think I saw Noctis come in too, but he was dressed in a suit so I think he was going out somewhere." Little did he know...

Egg surprise, huh!

Shepard wasted no time in bounding up the stairs, the Lycanroc grinning excitedly as her short tail wagged.

"Time flies huh? Can't believe it's time already!" she crooned and pranced over to the eggs as Carbuncle giggled and followed after her, darting around her feet.

"We have to hurry! They have a picnic, brother says so!" he said hurriedly and darted to the eggs to help Potato start gently uncovering them. The Lycanroc was very careful as started to pick up the two that had been picked out specially for the pair, one held in the crook of each arm.

"Lead the way! Shepard barked and Potato twilled, scampering ahead with their dopey grin on their face, Carbuncle hot on their heels.

Bean let out a rumbling chuckle as they started to walk. "Who knows. He was acting really strange this morn--"

"BEAN! DANNY!" The Snorlax paused as Carbuncle came bursting out Noct's cabin door, Potato the Ditto--still in Eevee form--toddling out after him. "WAIT!"

Danny paused at the shouting, turning to them. He loved Macavity, and Carbuncle, and he didn't hold Potato sometimes looking like Bean against them anymore. But, he kind of wanted to whisk his lady away for a romantic picnic. Still it seemed urgent so he stopped, still holding Bean's paw.

"What is it guys? Is something wrong?" Maybe it had something to do with Noctis being weird this morning?

Macavity darted in front of them, tail wagging so they couldn't walk on past them. "We've got something for youuu!" he sang gleefully, bouncing in a play bow.

Carbuncle giggled as he came over to stand beside Macavity, hopping up and down in place.

"Something special!" he sang as well which got an amused sound out of Bean.

"And what is this something special?" she asked, head tilting. The Espeon twilled and flicked his tails to motion behind them which prompted the Snorlax to turn and this time it was a surprised sound that escaped her. Standing behind the pair, having used her excellent stealth skills, was Shepard with the eggs cradled in her arms with a fond grin on her face while Potato perched on her shoulder, once more in their proper form.

"Surprise!" Carbuncle cheered as he bound around the happy couple to stand near Shepard, getting up onto his back paws momentarily to stand tall and dance a bit. "We got you eggs!"

Danny had not expected that. He looked between Bean and the eggs, then to the others.

"Wait...for us? You didn't steal them, right?" He shot a pointed look at Macavity, who scoffed and butted his side.
"Rude! No, we made them for you!"
"They're...they're really for us?" Danny admittedly had a problem with the idea of Bean breeding with Potato - mostly because Potato would be copying Bean's appearance and that just seemed very weird and uncomfortable for him. But...

He stepped forward with Bean, reaching out to take one of the eggs and looking up at Bean. To see if she agreed. Because he was for this, but it would depend entirely on Bean's approval.

"For friends! Made for friends!" Potato piped up from Shepard's shoulder, wiggling about in delight because they were very happy to be apart of this.

"We wanted to surprise you guys since you couldn't make eggs together!" Carbuncle twilled, bouncing as Shepard handed one of the eggs over to Danny.

Bean, meanwhile, was on the verge of tears, looking at the eggs with pure love in her gaze.

"You...thank you, all of you," she rumbled, reaching out to take the second egg carefully, cradling it to her chest as she slowly sat down in the sand. "Danny we...they're ours."

Shepard took that as her cue to go, shooting Carbuncle and Macavity a wink as she set Potato on the ground before bounding off back to the house. Potato immediately shifted into an Eevee form again, toddling over to the happy couple and bumping his head gently into Danny's leg.

"They close to hatch. Keep warm! Know you be good parents!"

"You'll be the best!" Carbuncle added, prancing over to Bean and hopping up on her leg then onto her shoulder to give her a nuzzle that she happily returned.

Danny cradled his egg gently, moving to sit beside Bean and leaning against her. He smiled up at her. He didn't feel that overwhelming rush of love yet, but he felt like he was holding something very, very precious.

"Thank you both- all of you so much." He amended, giving Potato a soft smile. Macavity nuzzled Danny's shoulder, who swayed into him in a friendly bro-kind of way. "We'll take very good care of em."
"We know. You guys'll be great." He bounded over to Bean's side to nuzzle her too, rings glowing brightly.

"How long will it be until they hatch?" Danny asked quietly.

Beaming at Danny, Potato made their way over to Bean and gave her the same happy headbutt to which she rumbled merrily at the little Ditto.

"It means so much to us" she murmured, reaching up with her free paw to wipe at her eyes. Bean had always had a maternal streak so she could already feel a fondness for the eggs that would only grow once they hatched. This was everything she could ever dream of honestly. (Outside of actually being able to have eggs with Danny, that is.)

Carbuncle hopped down then over to the Lucario and gave him a happy nuzzle and a lick to his cheek before with a flick of his tail he was on the ground and nudging Potato.

"Yeah how long, how long!"

"Couple days. Potato keep them warm since make them! Couple days and they hatch!" the Ditto yipped with a happy, Ditto-Eevee grin.

Seeing how emotional Bean was, Danny took her free paw and kissed the back of it, smiling up at her softly. He kept hold of her, snuggled at her side and holding the egg.

"A few days...I think I'll be sleeping over the next few nights." Danny winked up at Bean. He wanted to be there to see them hatch, no matter when that would be. Macavity beamed and well - look he'd embraced Bean and Danny, he's gonna go and nuzzle his brother and Potato again.

"I thought you would! But yeah, we knew you guys wanted kids so, we thought we could help."
"I honestly can't thank you guys enough." Danny said genuinely. He didn't care that they were obviously gonna be Eevees. They were his and Bean's, and he was gonna love 'em.

Bean looked to Danny and returned his smile, leaning into him as he snuggled against her side.

"Sounds like you will be," she mused with a chuckle, absently rocking the egg she cradled along with the flowers that Danny had given her. This was just so much--too much. How could she ever repay them for this kindness?

Carbuncle happily returned his brother's nuzzle and Potato did the same, giggling as they poofed back to their normal state.

"We want to make happy. Friends deserve happy!" the Ditto said in a matter of fact sort of way before gently bopping the brothers. "We go now. Let family be family. We all see one another later!"

As Macavity joined Potato and Carbuncle in strolling away, he couldn't help how his tail wagged. Danny and Bean had been overjoyed! They were gonna be the best parents. And he and Carbuncle were gonna be the most rad uncles to those eggs.

"I can't wait to see them after the eggs hatch!"

Danny watched them go, before focusing on his love and their - their! - eggs.

"I still can't quite believe this...What do you think they'll be like?" He didn't actually know which brother fathered the eggs, or if they had been given one each from them. But a child didn't always turn out like their parent, and they were gonna be the ones raising them. And he was not going to raise his children to be thieves!

Carbuncle giggled and pranced through the sand, tails flicking as he led the little parade.

"Me either, brother! They're going to be the best!"

Already focused on the eggs again, Bean rumbled softly as she stroked her free paw over the one she was holding.

"Wonderful, no matter what," she replied fondly, not in the least bit worried. She knew that Danny would be a wonderful father and she was confident enough in herself that she was pretty sure she'd do alright as a mother so they're children were going to be wonderful. And even if they did have an impish streak..they were theirs. And that's what mattered most.

Danny leaned into her side, stroking her paw. "Yeah." Without the others there, he really began to take in that they were going to hatch these eggs. "...we're gonna be parents. They'll like us, right?" For a moment he had an irrational thought that the Eevees would rather follow after the Eevee-bros than them after they hatched. Or wouldn't like him because he was spiky (there's no way they'd dislike Bean, she's so soft and lovely).

As Macavity followed Carbuncle, jumping to catch up to him, he remembered. "Yeah! ...hey, what did you mean by Noctis being weird?"

Bean tilted her head as she regarded Danny, a gentle look on her face.

"Of course they'll like us, Danny," she murmured, ever the patient one because she understood exactly where the worry was coming from. It was nagging at the back of her mind too but her motherly instincts were keeping it at bay for her. Cradling the egg she held close, Bean leaned over and bumped her head to the Lucario's. "They'll adore you. You're going to be a great father."

Carbuncle stopped at the question and turned, ears perked and flicking slightly. "Oh! He was all dressed up--really dressed up! And he kept humming and singing and it was really strange! It was like he was--it was like he was all lovey dovey or something! Like when Danny sees Bean after not seeing her for a couple hours!"

Danny smiled, tilting his muzzle up to touch her cheek. "You're so confident. But you're right. You're going to be an awesome mum!" She was going to be incredible. If their kids ever needed reassurance or help with her confidence, she would rise their spirits up to the clouds!

"Wait, all lovey-dovey? But, he just went to see Ash..." Macavity paused. Then his eyes went massively wide as it hit him, gasping dramatically. "OH MY GOD, CARBUNCLE. Dya think he went and asked Ash out??"

"I'm only confident because I know we can do anything together," Bean murmured happily. "We're going to be awesome parents!" The two of them together. It was going to be the best thing ever!

Carbuncle grinned impishly and ducked into a play bow now, tails waving wildly.

"I think so, brother!!"
