I suppose that depends on how you define a project.

I've just been wanting to add a Popplio to my own roster for a while now. I could go and catch one, but I've been reading a lot about egg moves recently, and I've been wanting to pay more attention to the potential of egg-moves which is why I'd rather hatch one than catch one.

Ah, gotcha. Fair enough!

[Noct grins and gets up from where he was sitting, heading outside.]

Popplio is a really great Pokemon, I think you'll enjoy having one. Not that I'm bias or anything.

[Since, you know, Quay is one of his favorite girls.]

What Pokemon were you planning on breeding her with?

Well, I'm probably biased too, so I can hardly accuse you.

[Popplio is a water pokemon, which in Armin's mind are just the greatest of all pokemon.]

I was thinking about using my Dewpider Boris. He knows the move Aqua Ring, so he should be able to pass that down to any Popplio offspring.

[The mention of Dewpiders has Noctis looking a bit..squeamish but he nods all the same, smiling slightly.]

Sounds like a good match up, especially when you're looking for a good moveset like that.

[Why bugs though? Why?]

Quay! There you are-- [Noct turns his 'gear slightly and the Primarina comes into view, resting on a dock with Nyx the Greninja.] Armin needs our help with something.

[The Primarina perks up and let's out a happy twill, beaming at the 'gear as she waves a flipper. Anything for one of Noct's friends!]

[Armin notices the slightly squeamish look, but before he can ask, Quay is there.]

Hello Quay.

[He smiles at the wave.]

Did you happen to hear what Noctis and I were discussing?

[The Primarina beams and nods, clapping her flippers together as Nyx looks bemused beside her.

She'll be more than happy to help!]

Looks like you've got the a-okay from her--

[Nyx let's out a low croak then, pointing at himself then Quay, puffing himself up a bit. Their trainer grins.]

Right. Is it okay if Nyx comes along with her? He's kind of made himself Quay's sworn protector.

[Said Primarina blushes a bit, glancing at Nyx who just looks proud of himself.]

That won't be a problem. Not that there is anything around here that should worry Quay, but I know how protectors get.

[Mikasa had always been ready to protect Eren, even if there was no danger around at all. Which often made Eren fuss at her mothering, but it looks like Quay enjoys it far more than Eren did.]

I trust you and I know he does. He just prefers to be near her.

[Once again the Greninja nods and shifts closer to Quay, gently bumping his shoulder to hers.]

I'll get them sent over later this afternoon. Sound good?

That'll be just fine. I'll keep you posted, of course.

Anything I should keep in mind? About either Quay or Nyx?

[Any special habits or food preferences or really anything at all.]

Sounds good.

[He looks thoughtful for a moment.]

Nothing that really comes to mind. They're both pretty easy going and if anything comes up they'll let you know.

All right. Promise you'll be the first to know when they do produce an egg.

Noctis? I wanted to let you know that I have some good news and some, ah, other news.

[He immediately goes on though, not wanting to actually worry Noctis.]

First for the good news --

[He takes a bit of a step back, so Noctis can see Quay (Nyx close by) and an egg nestled against her.]

Quay and Boris produced an egg. So that is good.

And as for the other news--

[Armin turns the camera just enough to show that there is not one, but two! eggs! nestled next to Quay.]

Uhm, I guess, congrats on the twins?

Oh hey Armin! Wait, what do you mean by other--

[He doesn't get a chance to finishing asking because Armin is already moving on which is probably a good thing. Noct relaxes a bit as Quay and Nyx appear on the video, a soft smile appearing at the sight of the egg.]

That's great! I'm glad it worked out!

[Wait, here comes the other news.

Oh. There's two eggs.]

Well..that's unexpected.

[Quay looks a bit sheepish as she waves at her trainer while Nyx just looks amused. How's it feel to be a grandpa, Noct? Again.]

I guess some natural processes just can't be controlled.

I wanted to ask you what you want to do now. Do you want to keep one of the eggs as well? I'm the one who proposed this breeding, so if you don't, I'll take care of it, of course. I might even be able to find another trainer willing to take the egg if you don't want it. Please don't feel obligated to in any way.

No reason why I can't take the other one. I'm settled down in Olivine at the moment so that'll give us time to properly care for an egg. I'm sure the rest of the crew will be delighted to have a little one around.

[Quay looks thrilled as Noct agrees to take the egg on, letting out a merry noise as she happily cuddles the eggs.

The prince can't help but chuckle.]

Plus look at how happy she is with the idea. I can't ruin that.

You really can't.

[Can't get between a mother and her children. Well, you could. But you'd be a monster.]

I'll send the egg along when I send Quay and Nyx back to you. Though I think Quay might want some time with her eggs still.

There's no rush. Give her all the time she needs. [A pause.] Within reason of course. I don't want them to overstay their welcome.

I don't think you need to worry about that. Guests are always welcome here. And besides, Quay can give me some tips on how to take care of my Popplio when he or she hatches. I should take advantage of her wisdom.

I'm sure Quay will be more than happy to do that. [He grins as Quay nods merrily on the video.] You guys behave, alright? Make sure to help out as much as you can.

And Armin, if you need anything, let me know?

Don't worry. If something happens, I'll let you know.

[He glances at the eggs.]

Though hopefully, we've gotten all the surprises out of the way.

Here's hoping.

[HAH.]
