[And then he's pulling the 'gear out to show Armin the sight he's come out to--lots of Magikarp all throughout various puddles and yeah there's definitely some odd colored ones.

Noctis can't help but laugh, sounding rather delighted.]

Oh this is going to be awesome.

You know, you are the first person I've met who really seems to like these pokemon so much. Most people just get frustrated with them and catch them so they can get a gyrados eventually.

[Turning his 'gear so he's in view, Noctis sheepishly rubs at the back of his neck but his smile's not going anywhere.]

It's fun to see how many I can get.

[Armin just takes a good long stare at the pink fish flopping around his feet. Flop. Flop. Flop. Flo-- oh lord, it actually managed to wedge itself in between two rocks upside down.]

I guess... you could say they have a certain kind of charm. Or something.

[Just. Just let him pry this dumb creature out from between these rocks. Honestly, Armin cause this one cause it was so pathetic he actually felt bad sending it back into nature to become pigeotto food.]

It is really hard to imagine that something like this will evolve into a gyrados. I know they do because Jean's did, but if I hadn't seen it myself, I would think that was a joke.

Yeah when Prompto's evolved neither of us were expecting anything quite that huge.

[It was made worse by the fact that she was blind.]

...I wonder if the patterns and colors will stay when they evolve...

That's a good question. I suppose we won't know until someone manages to evolve one but...

[Well, they are magikarps. They don't exactly train up easily.]

Maybe I'll finally give it a go and get one to evolve. [A pause.] After I catch some more of these new colors.

[Noctis, no. You have a problem.]

How are you even able to find names for them all? I'm having trouble thinking of one just for this one.

I--ah--name them after..food...most of the time.

One of my friends does that too. She named her electrode Meatball.

[Yep that definitely gets a snort-laugh out of him.]

That's kind of perfect for one of those. I just got a Ditto that I named potato. Your friend and I apparently have the best naming technique around.

I can't help but feel you'd end up really hungry just from battling them.

Sometimes, yeah. But considering how much Bean eats we usually have a lot of food around so it's not too bad. Just a constant case of the munchies.
