[ So, Prompto didn't go to work today, their last in Violet City. Why?

Well, the multiple pictures of several birds - Terry the now-Pidgeotto and Taion the now-Staravia - playing with Boko the Hoothoot and Aero the Pidove - might answer that.

And a text following. Well, multiple texts - three, to be exact. He's got a lot of thoughts okay. ]

idk if i'm ready for the gym yet, you going for it or nah?

look at these cool birds, noctis. they went all glow-y and then became bigger and i think thats evolution. i didn't catch it this time but i'll totally get it next time (is not letting them evolve cruel? i wanna keep my luxio a luxio? if she evolves shes no longer pokemon not found and that'd be dumb)

man it's hard choosing just six to take down to these ruins but there's gotta be cool guys and girls there. how do pokemon even enter a pc? does it mess with them? bcuz i know it'd fuck me up if i was shoved into one. it'd fuck anybody up, right?

[Noctis had just finished up helping some of the locals when his 'gear went off and he looks over the pictures with a grin as he settles down on a bench to reply. On his shoulder, Chocochick--now a Trumbeak--fluffs up some as she peers at the pictures as well.

I think i'm going to wait. i don't think I have anyone that's strong enough for something like that yet.

The same thing happened to a couple of mine! Yours look awesome. I'll have to show you Chocochick and Pride when I get back to the inn. (That's a good question. I heard from someone in town that you can get these things called everstones that stop them from evolving? So idk maybe it's not?)

Right? I've been having that problem too. I hope it doesn't hurt them. If it does I'm going to figure out how I can keep all of them out with me because I really don't want them getting hurt.

same here :/ i mean ie.exe is level 30 but i rly don't know. a lot of mine are still in their 20s or 10s? and i dont wanna put null down but he's only like level 9 or something, even the baby's stronger then him.

oh sweet! i'll get some good shots of their evolved forms as well because we gotta remember this. and show off to iggy and gladio when they get here. wait isnt it gladios birthday next month? does it even count if he isn't here? could we end up older then him someday. (well if theres weird stones which stop evolution its gotta be okay, maybe i can get her a cute collar with one and a bell as well)

same!! i mean they're animals but also best friends. why is it illegal to keep them all around. i mean i get it, if they're out of their pokeballs (bleh pokeballs) theres big crowds and we can hold like so many? but its still a weird law like what if a trainer cant use a pc. the point is we're not gonna let 'em get hurt by anything we can stop. if only we could ask them.

You're ahead of me already. I don't have any that are close to level 30 yet. Bean is at 22. I really need to do some more training...

Sounds good to me. And yeah, it is. I don't...well, maybe. I mean, time apparently stands still at home, right? So we could potentially end up older than both of them if we're here long enough.

I've heard that you're allowed to let them roam if you have a farm or something like that. I don't know how true it is but it may be worth looking into? Maybe not a farm but a house that we can use since we're stuck here and all.

ie.exe just tends to train herself a lot but like? this sort of training is sort of fun. this place is weird. but theres some ruins nearby and maybe thats a good training place? i wanna see if theres any good shots there (but like i wanna make sure i'm strong and stuff, so i can catch up to those ppl who've been here for a while.)

man imagine the looks on their faces if we were older then them? but yeah i read that as well. like we were never gone if we return. would it be weird for ppl who've been here for years - do they look older if they go home? dunno. but it'd be priceless.

we gotta get a house. imagine if we got one near to the sea and u could go fishing every day? and no more trapping our pokemon friends in little things. but blah not a full farm, that'd be far too much work. what would we farm anyway?

...Bean feeds herself. Idk if that counts for anything.

I'd be down for checking the ruins out if you are. We'll have to stock up on potions and stuff. Just in case.

I'm pretty sure they'd both be super freaked out and I would seriously want you to get pictures of it because how often do we get to see Ignis freaked out?

Alright. We'll get a house then. And definitely has to be my the ocean. That would be a dream come true, ngl!

these potions are weird (but maybe ive been calling everything weird and it's normal)

of course i'd catch it it'd be a one in a million snap, freaking out ignis. and i'd print it out just in case he tried to get the camera. ;3 but maybe he'd be freaking out about being here anyway, apparently its ~~weird~~ strange to go with the flow like me.

man, getting an actual dream house... sounds like a good goal doesn't it? but hey it's something regular ppl do.

I'd still feel better having extra stuff. This place kind of seems unpredictable. Better safe than sorry. (Ugh I'm sounding like Ignis aren't I?)

True. I don't know if he'd like having animals around constantly. He doesn't really seem like the type. Gladio would love it though. And can you imagine Iris? She'd be so excited.

I've never really thought about it as a goal before. I kind of like the idea of having something idk just normal? Just ~~for us~~ a place to call ~~ours~~ home.

omg iris would love this we gotta hope she ends up coming though, she could totally stick with us. even if its nice just us too you know? gives us time to think about ourselves and nobody else.

[ ...He's gonna do it, he's gonna tell Noctis how he feels. While he's feeling courageous for once. But he doesn't think he should over text. ]

If need be I can put most of it in my bag. It won't bother me.

It'd be great if any of the others show up but I do kind of like just traveling around with you. It's nice. And relaxing.

I guess that's true. I just feel like I should be doing more? I guess?

[ And Prompto stops texting... until he finds Noctis, and he's already looking a bit of a mess. Mostly his clothes - he's been fidding a lot okay, as he's been looking for Noctis. His eyes are averted, even as he approaches, and he just sort of flops to sit next to him. As you'd expect, he has all his Pokemon out with him - around them. ]

I mean, uh-- hey, Noct.

[ He takes a big breath in - this is probably the only chance Noctis is gonna have to get a word in before Prompto just... talks. He's got a lot on his mind, okay. He can do this. And if he thought he could have left, that is a flopping Magikarp flopping onto his lap. For pets. Yes, Freckles likes pets. ]

[Noctis frowns a bit at his 'gear but let's it be, tucking it away and stretching out a bit where he sits. The rest of his pokemon are milling about while Chocochick stays settled on his shoulder, Noctis absently watching them which is enough of a distraction for him not to realize Prompto is there--

Until the other flops down beside him.

The prince startles and sits up, looking at the blonde and immediately noting how out of sorts the other is.

..Okay. What the hell is going on.]

Hey...you alright?

[ Is he okay? Not really. But he shakes his head. ]

We'll go home someday, right? I don't wanna think about it, but we've gotta. Otherwise you'd notice I'd vanished for a while. [ He says, with a soft sigh. He's had a lot to think about, after learning Noctis was from... the future. One he doesn't comprehend still. ]

But like... I would have told you if I'd gone to a world of cool creatures so it's like none of this matters because we'll forget and--

[ He shakes his head, letting out a huff. He can say it, even if he can hear himself just embarrassing himself, his voice cracking the smallest bit. He can almost feel the fish judging him - he'll say it. He has to. No backing out - looking straight at Noctis, Prompto speaks. ]

...I love you, Noct. I-- want to do anything to make you happy. [ that's love, right? ] And I thought that if nothing matters back home and we'll forget this and I thought I could say it but it just sounds dumb now. [ He's just burying his head in his hands now. It's basically just been the two of them for over - well, over a month. It's been burning in his head - that it's just them, they don't need to act like there's anybody else, he can do this. ]

..Yeah I guess it'll happen one day. Maybe? [He'd talked to a lot of people that had been here for extended periods of time. Who knows. Maybe they'd be here for a long time to come.

Noctis sits up a bit more as Prompto keeps going and he gently nudges Chocochick off his shoulder and onto the back of the bench. The other was kind of rambling and he wasn't sure what to make of it.]

Promp--

[I love you, Noct.

The words hit him like a brick and the prince just stares for a long moment, not really processing what else was being said right away.

Prompto..him? What?

His mouth opens and closes a couple of times before he's swallowing against a lump in his throat, looking away from Prompto to stare at the ground. He and Prompto had always been close. They were best friends. He cared a lot about the blonde and there had been a reason he'd been insistent that Prompto come with them on the trip to Altissa. It had just...considering everything that was going on back home he hadn't thought about having anything else. Being allowed to...he and Luna were close but the idea of marrying her was still strange to him.

But here with Prompto..

Glancing at the blonde, Noctis manages a weak smile but it's obvious he's hopelessly lost when it comes to things like this.]

..You do make me happy. You always have. [It comes out softly, like he's not sure how to put it into words. Was what he felt for Prompto love? He really wasn't sure; it's not like he was an expert.] I..it doesn't sound dumb. At all. It sounds..it sounds perfect.

[ It was lucky that Prompto... didn't expect to hear the words back. That'd be something far too strange to hear Noctis say.

But he can't help but look up and see that smile and smile back a little. He isn't sure if it's love either - because he still just wants to make Noctis happy. Prompto is clueless as well, even if he flirts with a lot of ladies - he's just trying.

And so, he continues. ] And if we wanna get a house here and stop worrying about even going home and getting a million fish and actually be able to be normal? [ Noctis won't be the prince nor king - and Prompto... doesn't need to pretend here. Even if he still is. He lets himself just let out a laugh, softly closing his eyes, his whole body seeming to relax a little. Only a little. ] It'd be nice. And I wanna do it with you.

[...Honestly, Noctis's desire to find a way home had been slowly getting pushed further and further down on his to-do list. Being here was a nice break and it was a chance for him to really figure himself out; figure everything out. It was a distraction but it was also a chance for him to grow.

And he had Prompto here. It was just them and...

A soft, breathy laugh escapes Noctis and as he watches Prompto close his eyes, he can't help but admire the other. He'd also thought the blonde was cute, in a way, but it took on a different meaning now as the prince turned slightly on the bench and reached over to gently brush his fingers against the other's cheek.]

Then let's do it.

[ They had time. Especially if time really was stopped at home... Prompto could see himself growing old here.

But Noctis-- agreed? At those words, Promptos' smile seemed to grow a hell of a lot bigger. His whole face seemed to light up as it was touched. He... he'd done it. He'd actually told Noctis how he felt and Noctis had been okay with it and... ]

Yeah. Let's.

[ ...And then out comes the camera, his bright glow not seeming to fade at all. ] Selfie time for new boyfriends!

[Honestly? He wouldn't have expected anything less from Prompto.

The camera appearing has him laughing and his hand slips away from the blonde's cheek as he gives him a fond look.]

The first of a ton to come, right?

[Because he wants to keep every single moment he can with Prompto in a photograph. It means just as much here as it did at home--as it would in the future, even if he didn't realize it.

Scooting closer to Prompto, Noctis wrapped an arm around him, leaning him to bump their heads together.]

Ready when you are.

[ It meant a lot to both of them, for different reasons. But holding this camera - this gift, and a sign of how kind this world could be - Prompto couldn't help but beam more. ]

Fuzzy pickles!

[ And there's the flash, as... Prompto then nuzzles against his new... boyfriend. Yes, boyfriend. (What did you even do with a boyfriend, Prompto had to figure out.) ]
