[It takes a moment before Noctis responds, the prince having been in the middle of helping some people out of the fray and back to the tent city that had been set up.

When he does finally respond he's a bit out of breath and sounds a lot more tired than usual.]

Hey, Ash. Things are...going. It's kind of insane up here. How's everything down in the islands?

Honestly, worse than I expected. Lots of unprepared people down here and getting themselves stuck, and some of the wild Pokemon have gotten hurt by either the birds doing shit or the people looking for Lugia upsetting them or the environment. I've had to capture a bunch because there's no Pokemon Centre set up here.

Though it sounds like it's slower going than whatever's happening at your end. You taking care of yourself?

That sounds similar to here. I've got one I caught because he was trying to run off on a broken leg and a few others that I just didn't have a place to take because we've already got so many at camp.

I'm trying. The constant headache from all the roaring isn't helping much but I'm doing what I can.

[ Even though he couldn't be seen, he nodded. Danny tapped his side. ]

Take what meds you can for that. You can't be the only person with a ringing in your head from their roaring. Hm?

We're doing what we can. Ignis is really miserable; I wish he hadn't come with us.

Has he been helping out at base camp? Like, not being funny but I wouldn't let him go out to try and fight the fires and all. [ It wasn't....well, it was because he was blind. While Ash knew his Pokemon would care for him, it didn't seem like he'd be super effective in the field, not when the job was trying to track Pokemon who were terrified and either fleeing or hiding. ]

Hey, Danny? Bean says hi. She's alright. [ There's a relieved sigh from Danny ] He says the same to her too.

Yeah--well, his Pokemon have. He's there but he can't do much. Even with the ear plugs they gave all of us it's still hurting his head. A lot.

[Ignis probably would have been fine if it weren't for the noise. And the constant music always playing. This world just wasn't kind of a blind man.]

She'll be relieved to hear he's doing alright.

Trust me, Danny's happy she's okay too. [ But he frowns softly at hearing about Ignis' distress. ]

Maybe he should back out? There's no shame in it and if it's causing him pain to be there...

He probably should but the problem is getting him to back out. He's more stubborn than I am sometimes.

Fuck....at least his Pokemon are there to make sure he doesn't go running off headfirst into trouble, but damnit. [ It wasn't much of a comfort, but from what Ash had heard and seen of them, they wouldn't let Ignis run out into the fires. ]

I've got a few of mine watching out for him too. Whatever I can do to make sure he doesn't get hurt during all of this, I'll do.

Long as you got some looking out for you as well.

[ He sighed, looking around the cave. it was beautiful...someday, he'll need to get Noctis out here. just to check the place out when it wasn't the fucking End of the World. ]

But you're getting enough rest and all that, right? Don't make me send one of my mons out to bother ya. I don't even know who I'd fucking send to be honest.

[He'd love it. Right now all he wants is to be near water.]

[Sleeping odd hours but he was sleeping. Eating was something he was forgetting quite a bit.]

[ HE IS WITH BEAN HOW IS HE FORGETTING THAT. ]
