Received in Olivine City (egg) | September 26th, 2017 Hatched on September 29th, 2017 Another gift from Ash, this one came in the form of an egg the young man had purchased. All he told Noctis was that it had to be named Exaclibur or Caliburn--Noct picking the former--and nothing else.
Imagine Noct's surprise when a sword hatched out of the egg. It was even more surprising when he realized, after scanning it with his 'Gear, that the baby 'mon was a Shiny variation.
Excalibur is a strange little Honedge, rather insistent on clinging to Noct's belt with her ribbon and trailing along behind him. More than once she's tried to grab his hand or arm, acting very much like a small child, but it usually doesn't end well for Noctis when she does. It's clear that she views Noctis as her parent and wants to go everywhere he goes even if she has to take turns with the other Pokemon in his team. She's also a little on the temperamental side and when things don't go her way she tends to throw a tantrum that isn't too terrible but it does take a bit to calm her down.
It's going to take time but Noct is definitely willing to do his best to train her into a strong and confident Pokemon.
