There's no evidence for his crimes left behind, no trace of him aside from a single pawprint, no clue as to how he got in and got out. The only way you know you've been struck by the Napoleon of Crime is when you realise something of yours is gone or Ash sheepishly returns what's been taken. Ash has tried to convince him to not be such a thief but...it's a bit like calling the pot black. Instead he's taught him 'good' and 'bad' situations to steal in, although Macavity sees his suggestions as guidelines rather than rigid rules. It doesn't help that Macavity quickly imprinted on T-Pain and Kinnagoe as mentors.
Evolving after Ash had a heart-to-heart with his Pokemon after the disappearance of Anthy, Macavity can no longer rely on cute looks to evade capture; and nor does he need to. Cunning, devious and agile, Macavity is a deeply loyal friend to Ash and a serious threat in battle, using his wits and endurance to outlast foes. He has a brother in Carbuncle, Noctis' Espeon, and has recently met Pyrna, Prompto's Eevee, to whom he shows a more playful, innocent side. "
